Under the guise of "thesis research" I saw a psychic [she prefers the term intuitive] on Sunday. She allows the taping of sessions and below is the first part of mine.
Interesting stuff.
Jill: I hear things, see things. I don’t like to hear things sometimes. I always say there are probably a lot of crazy people in mental wards sometimes that are real intuitive.
Me: Everybody is intuitive?
Jill: Everybody is intuitive Most people that come to me are intuitive. You just never can read for yourself. I get inklings sometimes when I’m supposed to avoid things but as far as reading…If my life would have been charted out I wouldn’t have gotten married twice. I would have waited later in life to have children. I probably would have money.
Me: How does it work for you?
Jill: I just see things?
Just like…You have a very good heart. You’ve got some ups and downs in your past but most of them you’ve caused. Okay. I see at times you get upset you end up believing in the wrong people sometimes and you let a lot of them run over you. Relationships: You haven’t found that person yet okay but you’re also afraid of relationships.
Okay? You want to strive. You’re very focused, okay, but you’ve also got a little insecurity. You’ll be a great writer but you’re also very artistic. Meaning you can do anything you want if you put your mind to it. It’s just sometimes when you have an opportunity you’re afraid. Because you’re like a perfectionist. Maybe not on the outside.
There is a woman by the name of Barbara that is going to be in your life that is going to be very influential. You’ll have some big opportunities I see over the next two years you moving. I see a male related in your family going through health problems. Just in and out nothing serious.
But also you need to take care of your knee down the road. This will be your left knee. I see you doing something where you might have to have some arthroscopic surgery.
I see too, I see a female by the name of Jennifer. I see you and her will be very very good friends.
You’re seeing someone right now?
Me: Yes.
Jill: What’s their name?
Me: Martha.
Jill: She’s very good. Ya’ll are like sisters. Ya’ll are like best friends. At times she can be a little controlling. And you hold it in and hold it in until you can’t take it anymore. And quit saying you’re sorry. Okay? Martha has a lot going on but it’s always every body else’s fault. At times. What’s she do?
Me: She works at a golf store.
Jill: She could do so much more.
Me: She just graduated. She doesn’t know what she wants to do.
Jill: She’s got a good soul. There’s been friction in her family okay, and she can’t seem to get past it. She needs to let it go let it go because it’s always going to be there. She needs to learn to accept it. She cannot save the world. You know what I’m saying? She’s a worrier. I want to say she’s a lot like Young. She’s a worrier. I do see you and her won’t always be. She’s a stepping stone. Okay.
I also see you doing some writing down the road. And I see more travel. You’re gonna be a traveler. You’ll always meet new people. And some are going to be very influential. And don’t be afraid to mingle. You’re just as good as they are.
There is a female by the name of Susan that will try to come in between you and Martha. And this hasn’t happened.
Ya’ll live together?
Me: No. She just moved to a different state about 6 months ago.
Jill: She’ll move again. Okay?
But there is another female that you already know but for some reason something will click down the road between ya’ll.
A see also there is a guy by the name of Mark that I see you being very good friends with. And I see also that he’ll be along the same lines as you as far as working.
I see also you doing subcontract work down the road. Which is going to be a lot of fun. Something that you’ll do at home and on the computer.
I see also that you need to take care of your ears. And I see you going through some ear problems. And this is going to be over fluid.
And I see your right eye giving your problems. This will be with vision.
Be careful on dropping your phone. This is over the next 3 weeks. And I do see it will work okay and then you’ll probably have to get it replaced. I see also that you are going to be thinking a move. Over the next 7. This could be by July. Or this could be within 7 weeks to 7 months. I see it being a good move.
Where’s your Mother?
Me: In Richmond Virginia. [ooops I meant Indiana]
Jill: She is a very strong willed person. Okay? But I see her going through a little bit of depression. She gets very lonely but she’s never really liked herself. Do you understand?
Me: When you see things do you see things only in the future?
Jill: Some are now some are past and some are future. It’s like…I see pictures. When you used to see pictures. Something over here, something over there. Sometimes Ifeel like it’s at a distance just like my timing is not like gods timing. I know from people calling me and letting me know what’s happened. Within 7 could be months or years. When things look distant I look at that as years.Death on the other hand could happen at 7:00 n the morning. [???]I always get people to call me back and let me know when things have happened. Because I don’t know. When you walk out this door I won’t remember what I have told you.
I see you playing volleyball. I see you with a cat. But I also see you with 3 other cats.
I see as you get older I see you going through medication. But also you’ll be prone to medications allergic reactions.
You’ve done very well, you’re very smart you just sometimes don’t get focused enough. You have people pulling you
This year going into the next two years is when you really need stay focused as to where you want to go.
I see also you’ll always go to school. You’ll always go to school.
You’ll always want to learn
Where you’re working. It’s a pretty good job but it’s not challenging enough. I don’t think that you’ll stay there. Okay? You need something that’s very challenging and I do see another job opportunity.
I see you down the road doing some traveling with your job. That will be temporary.
I see also a guy by the name of Dave that I see that you’ll be very good friends with. But also he will help you with something that you’re going to get involved with.
Down the road you’re going to write a book and there is going to be someone else involved but this is when you get up older.
You like kids but you don’t want to be around them too much.
I see also you love music and I see you liking all kinds.
I see you going to a ballet. Okay?
I see also that you’re going to go through some wrist problems. More so the right wrist.
I see too that you’ve got a long life. You take care of yourself.
There are times that you’ll go through food changes in your life.
Me: Food changes? Healthy vs. unhealthy?
Jill. Yes.
I see when you get into your 30s is when you’re going to meet someone you’ll meet your soul mate.
But I’m already there.
But you’re not through with your 30s.
I see a big opportunity that you’re going…
Jill: What magazine do you work for?
Me: BH&G
Jill: I see you changes. This job you thought was going to be stimulating.
It’s really the people. You’ve got so many ideas that you could bring forth to the table but
you’re going to have to start binge aggressive in your life.
Me: I do have this project idea:
Jill: There’s two people around your work that would listen to a thing like what you’ve got but they’ll put it on the side burner.
Me: Do you see something like that happening?
Jill: Yes. But don’t give up. You’ve had some other ideas in your past and you give them up or put the…
I see a little bit of a sore throat and maybe laurengitus. About Feb or March. I don’t see you going to the doctor.
You’re a healer in yourself. Sometimes the palms of your hands get real red. [I look down. They are] B/c you’re a healer and you have a lot of heat. There is going to be a get together and I do see you going to a seminar which is going to be very good but very boring. And a seminar very good but boring and a female Linda will play as your friend but will hold a lot of jealousy. But she hold a lot of jealousy against a lot of other people.
Me: Going to a conf. at the end of the month. A friend Linda will be there.
Jill. It will be good but boring. I’m just saying she’s kind of got a lot of insecurities. She likes the strength of what you’ve got. But she’s got a lot of jealousy. You won’t see that until down the road. Her hearts been broken 3 times in her past. But sometimes she looks too hard and finds the same kind of person in her life. I see that she needs to take care of her female parts. I do see her going through some problems with bleeding.
I see also that you’ve got another friend that’s got a little bit overweight. And she needs to take care of diabetes as she gets older.
There is also going to be a contract that you’re going to be able to sign. This is going to be something workwise and this is coming over the next year.
You’re going to do great in your project that you’re doing right now.
Me: On the side project?
Jill: Yes. You’re going to do great. When you get focused and in that…
You are great in English and you thought about Science at one point but that’s not you.
Me: I have a degree in mt but can’t pass my exam.
Jill: Cause you’re not in it. You’re not all the way into it. What you know hands on and what you know written are two different things. You’ll get it down pat when you’re ready. Okay. But you have different projects going on and you’re gong to find as you get older that you have to accomplish one project instead of trying to accomplish 4 projects going on at one time. Ya know?
I also see you going with some friends that’s going to be down south. Okay? This is going to be a weekend thing and you’ll have fun. Okay? This could be around August.
I see too that there is going to be a trip over the next 2 years that is going to be very good. But this one is coming over California.
You’ve got a brother?
Me: No
Jill: Brother in law?
Me: No. Only.
Jill: You’re the only? You have a male friend that’s like a brother?
Maybe my friend Jeremy.
He’s a very good guy. He’s a great guy. I see him going through a lot of frustration around a workplace.
Me: When I say the name…that’s who it is?
Yep.
I just see frustration in the workplace.
He’s not going to stay in Tennessee.
I see him also having an opportunity in Colorado. He likes the outdoors.
I see a guy by the name of Bill who’s going to be very positive in a workforce for him. It’s an older man.
Okay shuffle the cards.
Me: Okay.
Jill: Yeah.
Good.
Am I picking up on you?
Me: Yes. You call yourself an intuitive?
Jill: I don’t like psychic.
So…
You need to pray more.
Me: Why do you say that?
Jill: You used to be very spiritual. You’ve lost a lot of that. You gave up b/c of things that happened and you need to get that back.
Me: Or else what?
Jill: It’s for your self being.
There’s a lot of bad energy out there in the universe right now. A lot of bad things are going to be happening. Especially in the year 2010.
Me: With the world?
Jill: Yes. Shuffle.
Me: Like what?
Jill: I don’t know if its WWIII or if its something going to be something that happens with terrorists. I see also fighting in our own country and its going to be over survival. I see a lot of bad energy.
You’ll go through outpatient surgery in the new years. I see you having a deviated septum.

Para Los Pajaros: Addicted To Craft

"Que Sera Sera, Whatever Will Be, Will Be
When I was just a little girl, I asked my mother, 'What will I be? 'Will I be pretty? 'Will I be rich?' Here's what she said to me: 'Que sera, sera, Whatever will be, will be;
'The future's not ours to see….que sera, sera.”
I don’t remember ever asking my mother “what will I be?” And even then, I knew we’d never be rich, not on her secretary’s salary, and she always said I was pretty. I do however, remember asking her whether I was right or left handed. It was the first time I recall my mother being unsure, uncertain of anything. She shrugged I suppose. Considered me as I weighed a crayon in each hand. Admitted that she didn’t know, but as she was right handed, perhaps I too should be right handed. So, for the first and not the last time, I became like my mother. I always wonder what would have happened if I had chosen the left hand.
I wish there were someone to ask what will I be when I grow up. Because I still don't know and I certainly don’t feel grown up. When I was five, maybe six, I wanted to be an ephemera artist. Of course I didn’t know the name for it, but I wanted to collect fragments, pieces of life and put them together in a work. Alternately I wanted to be a dancer, an actress, a painter, a nurse, a teacher, and a princess—always well loved and particularly famous. Once, near my father’s apartment dumpster, I found a wire ornament—two love birds swinging in a wire heart (Why I can’t remember my father’s birthday but remember this damned thing I’ll never know). I had big plans to craft an art project out of the piece. Something worthy of the High Museum of Art we recently visited. Father thought it best (probably due to an obviously high concentration of teeming bacteria) to leave it where it was. And that was the end of my ephemera art….Until yesterday.
Dear Dr. A has implemented what she calls “craft time” and I took part last night. I utilized my craft time to work on a project for a co-worker [See attached image]. We have a saying around the office: that work is for the birds. We translated the mantra into Spanish, and like to occasionally shout it out as if we have terets syndrome. Para Los Pajaros! To create the piece, I cut out letters and pictures of small birds. There was burning of paper involved, gluing, cutting, and the implementation of scrabble pieces, and in the end I’m fairly pleased with the result, as is my co-worker. It should be noted that while it takes both hands to make crafts, it was all done right handed. And I think, that thanks to my dearest Dr A, I have discovered that I am newly, freshly, addicted to craft.
